ERICK MORILLO RELAUNCHES SONDOS RECORDS IMPRINT

Platinum-selling artist Erick Morillo will be resurfacing his critically acclaimed SONDOS Records imprint this summer. The label, under the umbrella of his flagship house imprint Subliminal Records, will be showcasing much of the organic, dancefloor-ready sounds that brought it much success at the turn of the century.

Now sixteen years on from SONDOS’ first release, Thick Dick’s ‘Insatiable’ in early 2001, Erick expects the label to continue to showcase the underground styles of Latin, tribal and techno it was revered for.

Erick’s pioneering Subliminal Records celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The imprint has harnessed support from production partners Harry Romero and Jose Nunez, with Jaimy, Kenny Dope, Organized Noise amongst those to have contributed to its impressive catalogue since its inception.

Familiar faces return to the fold with three exciting and highly anticipated remixes expected next month. One new addition features Swiss tastemaker Andrea Oliva, remixing ‘Thick Dick – Welcome To The Jungle’ which will be released on July 17th, with Berlin’s Junolarc dropping his club-ready remix on July 31st.

Other mixes include:

Harry Romero “Time” (scheduled for release July 3rd).

Thick Dick “Welcome To The Jungle” (Andrea Oliva remix) Scheduled for release July 17

Thick Dick “Welcome To The Jungle” (Junolarc remix) Scheduled for release July 31

Erick Morillo feat. Alexandra “Animalistic” (Schedule date: TBC)

Over the past year Erick’s rapid production rate has fashioned new tracks every two weeks on Subliminal Records. Next month also sees the relaunch of his sub-label Subliminal Soul, which will take a different course from his characteristic sound to a more soulful, funky, deep-house approach.

This summer the Colombian-raised producer will take on the world once again, notably on the White Isle at Amnesia and Pacha, with performances at WAO and SW4 festivals as well as other UK appearances at Mint Warehouse, Leeds and Gorilla, Manchester promise a hugely successful summer.
